Gobbler

Picked up a new cocktail arcade table a few weeks ago. Finally got around to putting up some pictures of it.

Here is the blurb I wrote about it and a link to the pics.

Gobbler (Puckman Bootleg) - My new favorite in my collection. I can't seem to find anything online about this. There is no reference to it in MAME. Google and Bing return results about various console ports called Gobbler or some variation of that. This uses the Puckman ghost names but does say Gobbler on the screen. The difficulty is much higher than standard Pacman. You can see in the pictures there is a bump in the lower maze and other changes to slow you down. The maze also disappears every third level and you have to do the maze from memory or trial and error.

If anyone knows anything about this cocktail let me know.

New Site Design

Well, I completely resigned my site this weekend. Was having some major problems with a sloppy style sheet that was screwing up my single photo pages. Now I have greater flexibility with the new layout. Also much thanks to the awesome software Expresso from MacRabbit Software. I got this as part of MacHeist 3. If you are looking for a good HTML/XML/CSS editor on OS X, you should check out Expresso. Using it in combination with RapidWeaver is pure win. I can edit CSS controls and see the results live in RapidWeaver with one key shortcut. Now to add some more content, reviews and other stuff I have been to lazy to do.

Windows 7 Virtual Image Benchmarks

I just finished setting up a page for Benchmarks of Windows 7 Build 7000 on current version of Parallels, Fusion and VirtualBox on various Macs running OS X 10.5.6. More results will be added shortly. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions. Click here for test results

Two Guns

I just finished uploading pictures of Two Guns, Arizona. An old abandoned town that was once also an amusement park. Now just ruins along old Route 66.

eSATA Expresscards

I have added reviews for two eSATA Expresscards in OS X. Dynex 2-Port eSATA II ExpressCard and OWC ExpressCard/34 eSATA SATA I/II. Click here for review

Basically, the Dynex card, or any card using the Silicon Image 3132 chipset, sucks in OS X. Avoid using them at all costs, unless you enjoy Kernel Panics. The OWC card works perfectly for a third of the cost.

Update time

Well, back from vacation. It’s time to update the site. Pictures coming from my trips around Arizona over the holidays. Also a few product reviews. eSATA Expresscards for my MacBook Pro and some new benchmarks of Parallels and Fusion using Windows 7 Public Beta build 7000. But first, to post this and test that everything is working with my website.
